Surf Fishing and Blue Crab

Will be down there next week with the family and wanted to know how the surf fishing and blue crab are doing this year. We have had some luck in years past in the surf there but heard from someone that artificials can be good around the rocks…??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you a search up top. Should find a lot to lot at. Steamboat is closed for road repair. Only leaves Dawho and Live Oak. Crabbing better at Dawho and fish at Live Oak. Whiting, sharks, and blues in the surf. Rocks will produce some too.

Best crabbing I’ve found is in Store Creek between the White Church and the pilings in the water…Caught many there at low tide in the past.

I always get tons of crab on the beach right at the inside of the mouth of Big Bay Creek…low tide, of course.

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…
