Just getting into surf fishing a little bit but looking to start catching some sharks… Any suggestions to some places to catch some nice ones? Any info would be great! Thanks!
Palmetto, I’m learning the ropes and areas too but I’m realizing there are sharks on Folly. I’ve seen them in the surf twice and have had 5 baits (whole whiting on large hook) but failed to hook up. Based on my hook and bait setup, I’m pretty sure they were sharks. If interested in night fishing for some sharks on folly, PM me. I’m looking to connect with some other guys who want to also catch sharks.

Hey travis, try downsizing your bait. I regularly catch blacktips and lemons from 5-7ft on smaller baits.big baits cause the hook to miss most of the time. Take a whiting and cut it into 2-3 inch sections and run an 8/0 circle through it with the point showing very good and hang on
Oh yeah that is for casted baits. When I yak 'em out it’s go big or go home.
