Heading to Beaufort sometime this month and I want to try surf fishing with lures would anything in the surf bite a crappie jig? Wanted to experiment and try a freshwater jig in saltwater. Also what is the best saltwater lure to use in the surf and what type of fish would hit them. Thank You!
crappie jig you might get either trout, bluefish, or ladyfish if theyre around. as for the majority of lures ive at least seen include mirrolures, gotcha plugs, and of course the traditional paddletail jigs. although trout and bluefish are what i see caught on lures the most, ive also seen redfish, spanish mackerel, flounder, and jacks come along too. wont get anything if you dont cast it so good luck!
