Surf fishing??

Is there anything biting at folly beach down by the lighthouse? Was thinking of taking the family tomorrow but I don’t get out that way much. Also which tide is best to fish ?

I’ll be there Saturday. Hoping to see some good information here. Are the cops on Folly out to get old guys drinking beer?

Yes, I think the fine is around $1000.00? It’s a good cash crop for them.

They ride around on four wheelers and check people that are obvious or suspicious. The reel money trap are the speed cameras they put up on the way to folly.

It’s spring so there should be fish biting, high tide seems to be best and fishing in the morning and evenings is best also, if I were you I would just go it there in the morning with squid shrimp and some baitfish and just cast out and see what’s out there…

Don’t be obvious or obnoxious. Red cups are a red flag. Carry all your trash out. Don’t hit cops in the face with glass liquor bottles (this happened).

Also, it’s May now so don’t bring your dog between 10am and 6pm, and keep them on leash. Don’t bring your dog to the lighthouse area bc it is a bird sanctuary or something… someone correct me if I’m wrong on this one.

Thanks, guys. Great information all around. I think we’ll leave any beverages on the porch and just walk back and forth. We’re all mid-40’s…our wild side has died.
