Surf reports?

Anyone have recent surf reports?

We played the guessing game with the rain this weekend, could have gone both days but didn’t. The fat Whiting should be all over. May go tomorrow after work, if it’s not blown out.

I am planning on going friday still thinking between folly or IOP

We’ll be out this weekend. Not sure where, but I need to get away and wet a line

Was at the IOP Sunday, arrived at low tide and something hit one of my rods hard after about an hour. Didn’t take it so I’m not sure if it was a ray or what. Had 3 rods out, whole finger mullet and whole menhaden…bluefish were feeding pretty good…nothing else for 4 hours of the incoming.

I just rode folly from state park to the north jetties on my bike at low tide, saw a few very interesting spots to hit at high/incoming tide

Weather isn’t looking great for a trip tomorrow might drown some minnows in the lake instead

lots of whiting today a bit south of charleston in the surf

Surf is heating up. Tallied about 15-20 good sized whiting plus 4 undersized black drum, a sand perch, an oyster toad, plus two copulating horseshoe crabs so far in the surf over the past week

I got skunked on IOP Monday, but I was only at it for a couple hours after work and the beach was too crowded to move around much. I’m going to try again Sunday, probably on SI or Folly.

A bad day of fishing beats a good day of work anytime.

Going to give folly beach state park a try tomorrow down by the jetties, anyone going to be down there?

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

We spent a couple hours on SI today. Tons of bites few good hookups. Lots of little things in the surf. Some small whiting and a pretty big puffer. Some blow ups on a spoon but no hookups. Did see a couple schools of bait in close and the birds we’re all over out past casting distance

Bluefish were thick around IOP/SI breach inlet. Saw some larger busts on bait balls but couldn’t reach them with spoons. Assuming spanish or jacks.

Small Ray and whiting down by the folly jetties
