Caught plenty of whiting a few stingrays a few small sharks and a few small trout but the highlite of the day was a nice red about 15 pounds. All caught in the surf on shrimp.

Got here on the 31st and me and my son have caught more sharpnose than we ever have before. The bite for all fish has been good on the south end of the island so far using squid and shrimp. So far I’ve had 2 things that I have not experienced before: 1) caught a nice sharpnose on small hook with squid and 2) hooked into a big sharpnose and as soon as I set the hook, a sting ray jumped out of the water about 2 ft high. I thought I had hooked him, but it got freaked out by the shark! Will post a report later in the week and will try to post pics when we get back.
