Oddly it depends on what part of Charleston your in too and which location your visiting

I’m a big fan of the mount pleasant charleston angler. They are very helpful and it seems like they really want to help you catch fish

They need one on johns island again. If anyone on here works for haddrells or charleston angler. OPEN A SHOP ON JOHNS ISLAND PLEASE. It was nice with the old b and b here but its been gone and we need another. I like them both

the Haddrells West Ashley guys have never let me down…and sometimes they give me a free fiddler or two…

Haddrells point is my go to place. I like both.

I’ve got to say Haddrells. Entire staff helpful and patient. Kind enough to answer stupid questions without making me feel like a dummy.

Appreciate that we have both and try to give them both business. Hard to beat Dee, Scott, and Daryl at Haddrell’s West Ashley, I must say.

go to wal mart they will give you sound advice on technique, color schemes as well as all the best fishing spots. na kidding, i go to Haddrells.

Thanks a lot Now Mike's going to find out a free fiddler was given away and raise the prices.

Either supports your local economy and they both have some great employees that know their stuff.

Tackle selection is more broad at Haddrells…unless you’re looking to fly fish.

if fly fishing is your thing, you owe it to yourself to go check out Lowcountry Fly Shop in mt p.

Fish are too valuable to be caught only once.

haddrells west ashley is my go to spot. seems like they have live shrimp more than other places… or maybe its just good timing on my part. those dudes are always really nice to me as well. havent always had the same experience at the haddrells in mt p unfortunately.

when i go to folly i often stop at crosbys for some head on shrimps or live ones if they have em. like those people for sure plus they open at 6AM… bonus

Atlantic Game and Tackle is a good place to go for offshore stuff…CA and Haddrell’s have more inshore items.

Both are great. Haddrells is my go-to. Dee grew up across the street from my wife and is one cool cat. Stretch appears there like a ghost occasionally. Great advice anytime you are in there.
