Tailers this weekend?

Anyone have an opinion on whether Thurs/Fri or Fri/Sat tides are best this weekend. Going to give myself a birthday present and want to make it count.

thurs. would be prime, less traffic and plenty o water.

You can get them coming and going Thursday/Fri. With this weather the fleet is going to be out this weekend. Buuuuut they’re calling for rain Thursday and Friday…

I’m going to be up in McClellanville all weekend or I would try to freeload a ride on your boat.

Happy Birthday!

There was a good tailing tide yesterday afternoon. Went to the Wando to my go to flat and only saw 2 fish, normally see double digits…not sure why they weren’t there.

I too was mystified by the absence of fish yesterday afternoon. My flat usually produces 15-20 tailers on similar tides, but 0 yesterday.

hoping they show up tomorrow afternoon, tide is about right as soon as I can bail from work at 5pm.

sometimes they dont seem to dig the “seeping” tides, especially high sun and 90deg…

flats, too bad because it’s looks like another solo trip. Why don’t any of the friends I have up here make time to go fishing? I guess I have a REALLY GOOD WIFE!

I went tonight to a park/wade flat. Nothing. 0 tails. I did see an enormous amount of 3-4" crabs climbing the grass to eat. Must have been 200 of them. I was stoked, then nothing.
Chris.

saw 4 tailers this p.m.- no takers. Tide was a lot higher than predicted

Damnit …i was off work and didnt think about it…

went this afternoon. Plenty of water, Plenty of crabs, plenty of bait fish, NO TAILS.

So what am I supposed to do? I don’t want to waste a trip but there are only so many trips I can make down. Do you reckon as the tides get later in the day the fishing will get better?

Walked flats the past two nights and will be tonight as well. Conditions seemed near perfect, but tails were few and far between. When I did see them it would be a quick ■■■■■…and then nothing. They’re out there, they’re just not showing themselves. Nearly stepped on couple and caught another, but he wasn’t tailing. I was lucky enough to see him swimming before he saw me. Wish I could figure out why they stay under on some days and tail like crazy on others.
