I heard it’s going to be 70 in folly beach. Any bites off folly beach pier?

When should it reach that temp?

Depends on mother nature. Water temps should rise when air temp rises starts getting steady . This 80 one day and 55 the next ain’t doing nothing for water temp. Wind direction, also, plays into water temp. Best guess, 2-3 weeks, maybe, sooner.

Water temp was 60.2 today. I could see the pier from where we fishing, and we caught over 40 whiting in about 3 hours. Hope this helps.

Harbor temp is 60 4 miles out is 72 average surf temp is gonna be around 64 or more if its a warm day. The fish are
gonna start slamming. All the fish are starting to make there trips back in from the nearshore.

Ripnlips, about those whiting:

  • Caught them with on shrimp double drop or carolina rigs I’m guessing?
  • What do you do with that many whiting? (I’ve never kept one) Do you filet them all or is there a better way to prep them to eat?

Moral K ;; whiting imo ; best eating fish there is!!! Filet and fry , also deboned and chunk in a fish/shrimp gumbo!!!
