Went out to fish Saturday and trolling motor batteries give out…Crap!
Head to house and plug in onboard charger. Several hours later charger indicates full charge.
Head out this morning to fish the outgoing and after just 15 minutes or so same problem. Call “The Man” Mr Goller & ask him if he needs some bait (shrimp & minners) as I have to get back to Augusta and also tell him about my issues.
Anyway, Jim says bring the boat by for him to check it out and low and behold a bad butt splice in the charging circuit for one of the batteries. He fixed the splice and cleaned all connections & has me good to go for the next time. Boat is charging and should be ready to go next week when I get back down.
I cannot thank him enough for the way he stepped up to help in the drop of a hat. This was not the first time he has helped me out.
On a related note… it was nice to meet ya NN! You should’ve stuck it out a little longer Saturday, Madfire and I caught a monster right at 7 o’clock. Anyway, glad you got your battery situation figured out and hats off to WildlifeSC for helping ya out.
Hey A Salt, it was a pleasure to meet ya and thanks for the bait so we could at least fish in the river for some of those bulls while I was suffering from the trolling motor blues.
Nice boat ya got, not to sure about your company tho…lol.
Madfire sent me a pic of that slob y’all caught just to rub it in.
By the way, your wanna be captain cracked me up on the radio…I could hear you laughing in the background…funny!
