never fished edisto will be camping at edisto for a weekend anyone know about the dock and where to fish bringing the kids want them to catch something.
quote:If you are camping on the beach, make the beach walk up to Scott Creek and fish the surf or creek. The kids may enjoy fossil and shell collecting also. If you are camping in Live Oak, fish the dock by the state park cabins. Go crabbin' too, the kids will enjoy that. Most kids like getting muddy and watching a grown adult acting scared handling blue crabs.

I have a skinny water poling boat too.
make the walk down to jeremy inlet with some green grubs about 2hs before lowtide.
I will be there Sunday afternoon on site 18… till Friday.
Question- What is the first creek/inlet you come to when walking north from the campground? I have always thought it was Jeremy Creek but have heard it called Scott Creek. After that, what is the next inlet, Frampton? Thanks a lot, Mike.
scott creek, jeremy inlet. the next one is frampton inlet.

Thank you, southerlytide. Is it physically possible to walk to Jeremy Inlet/Frampton Inlet since you have to cross Scott Creek? I guess you could at low tide but then you are stuck at high tide? Is there any to access by land?
there’s no access by land. you can cross the inlets at low tide, but you’re right about getting back across. if you just want to fish jeremy inlet, you can fish from the state park side and not worry about crossing.
Scott Creek goes from the big bend off Big Bay Creek(past EB Yacht Club) up the back side of the island - under hwy 174 and on up to Jeremy Inlet where it goes into the Atlantic. The inlet is just where the creek goes out to sea. It is a good fishing and crabbing spot.

Thank you jford and southerngent. I understand now. The actual creek is Scott Creek and the inlet into the ocean is Jeremy Inlet. Having walked down there on Monday, it doesn’t appear a boat can go up Jeremy Inlet into Scott Creek. Can the shoals be breached at Frampton Inlet? I have a neighbor who use to fish there and he spoke of having to jump the breakers to get in and out. Thanks again, Mike.
You can get through the mouth of framptons inlet you just have to be carefull.

I didn’t see Ace at all this past week. Nice picture
I carried him with me to the office most of the week so he wasn’t around the house during the day. I also got his dummy out and worked him a little bit in the afternoons. Don’t want him to be out of shape this up coming wed at about sunrise.
