I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!
hmmm…I guess they aren’t referring to the runoff in the creeks…
Sounds like a Busted Sewer Line…[:0]

If my opinions mattered at all I’d say keep that garbage as far away from here as possible. The amount of revenue it will bring in isn’t worth the trash reputation that this kind of production will place on such an incredible and unspoiled part of the low country lifestyle. I personally would be embarrassed tho have any part of my state associated with any “reality” show like Jersey Shore.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’ll never eat at Drunkin Jacks again. They are “hosting” the crew and cast for meals. The rumor also is they will be staying at Kings Krest, the beautiful home just south of the old Olive’s Lodge, where my new wife and I just got married last October. Please don’t disgrace such a special place…

I sure don’t like the situation but let’s remember that Drunken Jack’s didn’t bring the production crew and cast to our back yard. That train is on the track and will be hosted by locals or by someone who is not local. Al Hitchcock (Drunken Jacks) is a local, a good guy and someone who really works hard to make the community a good place to live. Breyn, believe me, I share your frustration and concerns, just trying to focus it. When the show airs, don’t buy products from the advertisers who make the show possible… and let them know why you won’t buy their products.

Kinda surprised they would send 20 something’s to Murrells Inlet.
Rental money and revenue from the production side nothing good will come of it. Best case is it is a clean show and it attracts a more tourists. Business wise it is a good move I guess.
The worst case is ya’all will want to move out. If it is a hit, then wait till you see who shows up to the Marshwalk and how they act. As a reality show I am sure they want to capture all the dirt, wait to you see the imitators who follow!
Catch 22 for living in a nice place, eventually it will become overcrowded. It has got a little to fast paced for me, and that’s saying something.
I was surprised at the owner of Drunkin Jacks comment that he never saw the Jersey Shore show. If I was to rent out space for a production, I would certainly see the type of work they do. Hope the scenes they fill with Bubba’s statue are not too over the top!

Don’t chase reports, go out and make them!
Agreed 100% Bob…I would want to see some of their work to start. The thing that gets my Goat/and wait till they see the Goats on the Island…, is the title…" The Dirty South " WTF…

I really do feel bad for all you locals guys/gals. That show will bring more bad then good since only bad things gets rating any more. There is nothing real about reality shows, just what ever they can do to get ratings up. I vacation every year at HB state park because MI is such a down to earth good place with out all the commotion of MB.
Bit confused about why they would do the show in MI. I love the Marsh walk, but surely not a roudy place that will make people want to watch TV about.
I can maybe see a reality show during bike week, which i would probably watch. Only way to make a show in MI that would get people interested would be to bring a cast of people that won’t fit in with the locals. All i can think of is making a Summer long Black Bike week???
I know ill surely hunt the cast down, and offer to take them fishing! You want ratings, make them puke, scared, cry, and swim back to shore.
Im thinking we should do the whole pitchfork and fire mob on there first night. Show these fake southern Obama voting Yankees the real dirty south.
I am curious as to were these folks they have for the show come from…?? Would not suprise me that they may run into trouble with some of the Locals …Fake azz turons meet Reality…[:0]
