The ole ball sac...

I’ve come to actually like the guy now. But this is gold.

New CHICAGO – When you have a five-star prospect on campus, you’re supposed to know, right?

Not always, apparently.

Former five-star linebacker and current Ohio State captain Raekwon McMillan recalled the time between his sophomore and junior year of high school when he unofficially visited South Carolina and had a really weird experience.

“Back when Coach (Steve) Spurrier was the coach at South Carolina, I was visiting South Carolina for the first time,” McMillan said Tuesday at Big Ten Media Days on Tuesday afternoon. "I just did a tour, Ohio State, Clemson and then down to South Carolina. I just got an offer from Alabama, all that type of stuff, the No. 1 linebacker in the nation.

"So I go to South Carolina, I walk up to coach Spurrier and say, ‘What’s up Coach, how are you doing?’ And he said, ‘What’s your name again?’ I was like, ‘Whoa, he doesn’t even know my name.’ And he said, ‘Are you that kid from Texas?’ And I was like, ‘Nah.’

“So he just walks away. He didn’t even ask me my name or anything like that. After he walked away, I went to another coach and the same thing happened. They didn’t even know I was on campus. So I just left.”

How is that possible?

By the time McMillan signed with Ohio State, he was a five-star prospect and one of the most sought-after defenders in the country. And in his time in college, he’s lived up to his five-star billing and will likely be headed to the NFL early after his junior season with the Buckeyes in 2016.

Reaching Bo, reaching way back.

I wonder why he didn’t go to Clemson?

I caught that too. :sunglasses:

God bless the “ignore” function.

That tour was way before he made his decision. If I remember correctly it came down to uga and bux. Which as a uga fan. I knew at the time he would go north. Right never could get the elite guys from the state.

Shevy, is this gold like not having a chick fil-a on campus gold or MUX gold?

The person with the most personal experience with Spurrier’s ole ball sac is Dabo… SOS teabagged Dablow for years…

Yep, then he tea bagged the entire Sakkerliner fan-base and still is with the state he left the program in.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Perhaps you are correct. However, I suspect it is easier to get a bad taste outta your mouth once, than it is 5 times in a row… Let’s be honest those things were spit shined and cleaned up by Dabo way before they ever got to the SCar folks… Shout out to Dabo for a job well done!

A National Championship, consecutive championship and playoff appearances and beating the rival 3 years in a row plus like a rented mule back in November tends to make things better. And 4 is on the way. How many do you think it’ll be in a row before Dabo is through returning the favor, 10 or will it be more?

#1: Dabo prolly won’t be at Clem more than a few more years… Just waiting on the Bama job.

#2: Gotta get 3 more before claiming a 6 peat. Really 4 more because we don’t count the one where there was a major coaching transition. Gotta be heads up without a coaching transition… Sorta like with Bama and Kiffin… Really wasn’t a straight-up game…

#3: It isn’t certain that Dabo has teabags to begin with. He is kinda girly with his antics and fancy dancin’… Let’s be honest, his name is Dabo which doesn’t instill a whole lot of fear in an opponent…
