I like the fact that Dabo gave him the option of his punishment…Unlike some other teams give out a quick your suspended for x amount games,practice etc and letting the player move on where Sammy had to deal with it for a long time which = to me a better lesson on how lifes decisions make an impact on todays decisions and hopefully this will benefit him in a lifelong career…Unlike some other decisions coaches have made for their players which didnt seem to help but they were swift quick decisions!! Just my 2 cents worth

Probably the option for two game susp if he worked hard and did what he needed to do or more if he didn’t. I understand it’s a foreign concept to some.
I think you are stretching. Jerb is trying to make Dabo out to be something he is not. How many teams “give out a quick your suspended for x amount games,practice etc and letting the player move on”
None that I know of. however most do suspend immediately upon arrest. Seems that Jerb is making things up to make Dabo look good.
I don’t think Dabo gave “him the option of his punishment”. He said you do “this” and then i will decide your punishment. I don’t think he had an option to do “this”. The option was on Dabo.
And I have no idea where this fits in " Sammy had to deal with it for a long time".

I didn’t say any do this, but some coaches give the ole “indefinate suspesion” immediately, which lasts a whopping three days until the player or coach sobers up, and no games are missed.
first it is rarely the coach, but instead the policy of the university. and it is immediate upon arrest until more details are known. It is common practice for most universities.
