Fishing has been tough with this really high tide and current. Friday I couldn’t keep the lead on the bottom. Yesterday was better. Caught some whiting, but nothing much more to brag about. I think I do better when the tides aren’t as extreme. How bout ya’ll?
definitely. fished the surf at folly yesterday in a decent trough- plenty of longshore current built up from the south wind, hard to hold bottom with 1oz pyramid. caught 4 baby sharpnose and 3 small whiting.
hot and bright with big tides… not the best shallow fishing.
i find new moons to be better. less rip, less tide. maybe less heat?
0 for 2 with big sharks at sullivans the past couple days for me, but i DID find a suprise in my crab trap by the rocks last night 
it was about 10" and didnt even have to unhook it. other than the crab trap trophy just a few small whiting here and there.
agreed. fishing has been crap for about the past week. even hit the rivers out by cole’s island a couple days ago and caught zippo… tried switching out baits, everything. glad to hear i’m not the only one!
