Looks like fun to me … haha

We get complaints of fisherman in the surf every year on Folly

experience noun \ik-#712;spir–#601;n(t)s

  1. the fact or state of having been affected by or gained knowledge through direct observation or participation

  2. that thing you get just moments after you needed it.

Because tourists think that they have more rights than us as fishermen. They swim right over your lines and think its no big deal at all. Can’t wait to be “red fishing” and pull up a nice blacktip and see how quick they get out of the water! At least in Florida there are thousands of miles of beach. If you can’t find a quiet place to fish then you are not willing to walk away from the crowd or the tourists just love to follow fishermen around! I wish SC was more like FL, you can’t fish the guarded areas, and after that its fair game and people are actually nice even when they know you are fishing for sharks. South Carolina they don’t care what your fishing for, you are in their “gods given way to swim.”

ah beach sharkin…gotta love it! as much as i love reeling in the big boys few things can top when i found tourists looking at a 4 foot “hammerhead” stuck in a tide pool at sullivans and i then grabbed it by the tail, picked it up, let people see it up close to see that its just a bonnethead…not a limb ripper, then put it back in the ocean

even hammerheads are not dangerous to humans. people grab their fins in mexico and catch a ride all the time. very rarely will it show aggression towards a human.
