The "rocks"

Ok… I’m new to this board but, have been fishing Edisto for several years. Actually just got back from a week of fishing filled with Reds and Trout from the South Edisto creeks (we stays in Bailey creek). I read about the “rocks” but, I do not know where the “rocks” are located. I have a simple question… Where are the rocks? A map inserted to the answer would also help. Thanks in advance, Botz

The rock in the South Edisto or the off shore rocks? See if I can post a chart!

Prob talking about the rocks off the beach. They have the numbers at the marina they will give you but on a nice day there are boats out there in the fall. That may be tapering off with the holidays though.

I think the “rocks” I’m referring to is just off the beach in the mouth of the S. Edsito but I do not know the exact location i.e. how far out, which side (N or S), near the first can, water depth?

They are on the north side of the sandbar, a mile or so off the beach. When you are leaving the sound hug the beach to the left rather than going straight out into the channel, like you are going to ride down the front beach toward the north edisto. Be careful bc there are two places right on the corner where it gets to just a couple of feet at low tide. If there are boats out there you can go to where they are and find the structure on your sounder. Its a large area. Otherwise you will need the numbers.

Should be able to mark them a mile off the water tower.

Line up with micro-wave tower directly off beach, set course straight
away from beach about mile or so watch depth finder until you see
the structure “”"" ur there"""

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.
