That you mated on a 3-4th generation capt’ed botes and that you are accomplished to a point where it is your solemn and sincere duty to knock Mexicans and Floridians off the star? If not, then what qualifies you to do the knocking off the star?
Negative. I am not the one calling myself a “charter captain”. But yes, I was born and raised in Chucktown. My cord was cut at Roper, downtown. I’m not knocking Mexico or Florida. God knows, they are both great fisheries and there are awesome fisherman in each. Those are the first two people that came to mind. All I am saying is that you can’t do it somewhere else and expect the same level of respect here. I don’t stomp on the star. I know how it is to fish here. If you recall, you were the one that said, “not many people in charleston catch 7 red snapper” in your other post. I was just pointing out that you can’t say that. At the same time, I am not going to move down to Florida and tell them how we do it in Charleston.

Well, I didn’t tell them to pro-create so much. I just reacted to something that Purpose One said. He told me not to call out charter captains on the internet as they fish more than me. The only people I mentioned were you and him. If you aren’t the charter captain, then he must be referring to himself. If he is so busy making babies, how does he fish more than me? I can give him some advice on birth control if he needs it.
I never knocked anyone’s roots. I never said Florida was a bad place. Do you remember a few months ago where Fernando was telling people that to catch more tuna in Charleston they needed to use tuna feathers? It’s because that is what he did in Mexico and he gave this advice before wetting his first line in Charleston. How many tuna did he catch in Charleston this year? See where I am going with this?

Never said I have fished offshore as much as you pros but I have and continue to be apart of the learning curve. I have learned a BUNCH from others on and off this site. I am always looking for tips and always willing to share. I have been the one on the other end quite a bit. I do not get off catching fish, bragging about them, and telling everyone how much better my catch is than theirs. I stopped acting like that on the kick ball field in the 3rd grade.

Once again. I never put down their catch. I made fun of Phin’s choice of words. I am not almightly. I put my pants on 3 legs at a time like the next guy. But, I am not a charter captain.
