Well you have succeed at getting me out of my character, for that I give you credit.
But, you have also misrepresented me. I am not too proud to take help from others. I never claimed to know it all. I will always take help when it is offered. All I said in the old post you mentioned is that we have some tricks. Things done a little differently.
Three people did die in that accident. My cousin is blessed by God to be alive.
I will keep doing what I do as I learn this area more and more.
If you are up for bottom fishing rod and reel style you are welcome to come fish with me.

I see a picture of guys who have reportedly been fishing out of charleston for years with a pile of scamp/bsb, a couple AJ’s and a couple gags. lil’ fish, I’d stab myself in the eye with an icepick too if I went fishing with them fellers and didn’t do that good.
I have already told skinnee he was the man. You are the man too lil’ fish… leave some for us next time you go. We might luck up and catch some more that way.

I am sorry about your tragedy. I did not realize that people had died during the accident. That was really ignorant of me to say. I sincerely apologize for that. I definitely have my foot in my mouth on that one and feel bad about it.
Anyway, back to the discussion, let me paint the timeline for you. I never attacked or called out you or your business. I started off with a little ribbing and you and Phin turned the heat up on it… Let me give you the cliff’s notes…
Timeline:
<> The ONLY thing that I said about Phin and Porpoise won was “we decided to show Phin and Porpoiseone how easy it is to find big Red Snapper”. I wouldn’t exactly call that a personal attack. If I would have said that about sellsfish, on the mark, lil’ fish, or Cracker, and can almost guarantee you that those guys would laugh about, take it as a challenge, it and be on the phone with each other discussing what spot they were going to team up on to make me put my foot in my mouth. They would have likely succeeded, and I would have been forced to publicly eat my words. Then at the end, I would enjoy countless ribbing the next time we fished together. Maybe your friends are a little more laid back…

Nobody want’s to take away from your catch. An 18# RS is a BEAST. You definitely get kudos for that. This whole debated originated from the fact that you called it a “slam with capital letters”. It was just a little picking at you. It as never meant to say you guys didn’t catch an awesome fish.

You were right, I was reading an article in a magazine Joseph gave me the other day about dif. knot strengths in like 70 brands of mono and braid. The palomar does suck for braid like greg1 knew already- he must have read the article during one of his morning stall parties at work weeks ago.
I got taught a lot by my granddaddy a/b bottom fishing, but haven’t been able to get out on any of the areas that the few loran #'s I’ve got from him are in because I don’t have the bote. They’re all south, and that does not happen to be where purpose one is trying to focus because of convenience and cost of fuel. I have learned a lot of little details and different ways of doing things from him though. There is always a better way to do anything…
