Okay, so I thought about just letting this post slide as I had a few previous ones, but I just can’t leave it alone … especially with the great comment from baycreek above. I’m not poking fun at you Baycreek. I think your comment was innocent enough, but man did I get a hearty chuckle out of that … all those carefully cropped photos removing just about any identifying background until the LAST photo with a perfect mug shot of the guy that published numbers and descriptions of spots all over the N. Edisto area. I mean, you gotta love the irony of cropping out the background while fishing with a guide that publishes numbers! HA!!!

no worries wadmalaw, and i can assure you there was no cropping involved i barely know how to post pictures much less edit them, don’t know how they all ended up being those artsy fartsy close up shots either, but i can also assure you this school wasn’t in the article. Thank goodness cause they’re way too slutty for the public

I know, I know, those spots are obvious to anyone who knows their stuff, but that doesn’t make it right. Those places used to be peaceful, but as you know there are plenty of other spots. What really concerns me is the complete lack of respect for those fish and the disregard for potential long term effects. All this from a man who’s chosen profession depends on a healthy fish population! And for what, a few extra greenbacks and some recognition? Whatever!!! I know times are tough, but that’s just wrong. The only thing worse is that he just sits back and lets a “big boy” try and do a poor job at damage control on here.

One thing’s for sure, you are a loyal puppy, still working on damage control with humor (fail) and distraction (double fail). I understand that you’re trying to achieve “exposure” with this thread, but you’re pulling double duty. You’re exposing the article to even more people just by bringing it up. If you’re angry with anyone, it should be the magazine for publishing GPS coordinates and the guide for giving them out. What about the guides that help create the Top Spot Charts or any other fish finding publications? Are you angry with them? Are you angry with the tackle stores in town that give seminars on how and where to catch fish? You are barking up the wrong tree. Sounds like you need to take your show on the road and confront the people who you truly have beef with- the mag and the guide, since you can’t seem to get any attention from them on here. Clear enough?
