I am planning on fishing Saturday and Sunday for reds, trout, flounder or about anything. Any information on what has been biting and type of bait or lure would be appreciated. Has the water been clear? Anyone catching flounder?
Spottails are scattered but once you find them you should catch a few. Did pretty good with the flounder last week–many were undersized though. You need mudminnows or mullet. I tried to catch a whiting or two for a fry but that’s about all I caught----a whiting or two. Good luck.

I took the jon boat out last week on Scott Cr. Had live mudders, live mullet and pinfish, cut mullet, and fresh shrimp. Was set on trout, reds, or flounder or nothing. Carolina rigs & cajun thunders. Several good hits. Had a report that docks had been real good near low - got skunked on the docks. Saw one 30" red caught on cut mullet by some trees in a deep channel next boat to us. Water was muddy - I think had a lot to do with it.(full moon) Was a lot more clear up out of Steamboat and N Edisto. Had motor carb issues and only went fishing in boat once - other trip was a blow the dust out the motor and drink beer trip. I got better fish from the surf on the day the water was clear.
