I am new to this forum but have been enjoyinh Edisto for about 15 years now. I am coming down this weekend with a little Scout to try some fishing. Could someone give me a few tips on areas (broad is fine!) Maybe some creek names that could be productive? I have a map, but am very unfamiliar with the creeks.
I was planning on using a fishfinder rig with live mud minnows or shrimp. Does that sound like a decent way to go about things?
Thanks so much for you help. I will buy you a beer at Whaley’s!

Haven’t fished down there since December. You should be fine with your rig and a mud minnow. Don’t be scared to put him under a popping cork too. I’d fish holes in creek bends on the low tide. Menhaden may be showing up too. Catch a few of them and fish with them too. Check with Edisto Marina–they will tell you what’s biting. Ugly Duck and Fishing with Bob are always eager to help—they read this and may be able to lead you right. Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Thanks! Will let you know how things go.
