Not a good idea. You would have to get to at least 150’. This is 45 to 50 miles off shore.The real areas are further. If you want to catch tuna with your boat you should trailer it down to florida where it’s not such a long run. IMO
You do have a nice rental house on Fripp!
If you want to go out to one of the near shore reefs in front of Fripp Island on a VERY good
weather day you might catch a King mackerel or possibly a lost and confused mahi. there are also a lot of spanish mackerel at these spots in the summer months. The route out of Fripp to the Atlantic is tricky and changes a lot. There is a hand out map at the marina with the course and small bouy to look for along the beach to the south of the opening.
