40inchreds,
In agreement, I’ve fished there before, caught whiting, flounder, trout, bunch of mullet and menhaden. Beautiful place, but fishing is average to say.
Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
Bless your little heart, it’s not about whether a man can catch a fish, it’s whether a man can be taken for his word.
Edit: this was in response to a deleted post which is still visible in dparker’s quote below. I am also out of popcorn. Hopefully one of y’all will share?
I’ll be at at Demetre this Sunday with 2 friends and my boy, yall haters are welcome to join, already bringing my video phone and my boy is bringing a camcorder so none of you jack legs can claim anything. Lets see how many of you key board artists show up, remember it will be on tape. Ha Ha Ha Happy Fishing!
Seriously though, hope you guys have a great time and catch tons. Although I am courious, I don’t think I’ll be joining you at Demetre Park. I’m sure, it is a beatiful park and from the pictures looks like it might produce some quality catches. Parks and Piers are really not my thing though. So you enjoy it. And my personal opinion, Demetre Park is NOT this best place to fish in Charleston, that I can say with 100% certainty. With over 1500 miles of costal shoreline, pretty sure there is a better spot.
Post lots of pics, we love’em! Just be real. If not for us, be real for you.
From millacd 09/27/15 “Hey would appreciate if you quit posting the reports at Demetre Park. Its one of the last spots you can fish that people dont know about. Crowded enough as it is, thanks for your consideration”
There it is, took a while. I already told you I’d stand by whatever I said. So tell me now, have you been fishing Demetre 4 years or 8?
“9/19 and 9/21 from Rippin Lips - The first pic was taken on 9/19 and I was fishing the Aransas area in some of my favorite channel slopes for the flounder and picked up a few nice trout as well. Biggest flounder went 19” and the big trout went 22" All fish were caught on plugs. Root beer/orange tail "
haha I guess it’s time to start reading reports again. I kinda feel bad for the guy because it wouldn’t really surprise me if he was just trying to hide the exact location. He’s certainly right about people crying too much about location sharing around here.
In the end this was an amusing post so mission accomplished? Isn’t that kinda the point of…everything?
On a side note I threw some lead around yesterday and got skunked at Pitt Street. I did have some excitement thought. The point on the north side of the bridge with the deep hole by it had a HUGE wake come around the corner into the creek that runs along the causeway. The wind was with me so I landed the paddletail just right. Then the biggest blackest cormorant popped up out the water and killed my buzz.
Should we propose that all future fish pictures must have a BEG in the fishes mouth and the bridge in the background to be legitimate?
