I think the 64 million dollar question is

Were you in less than 135’ of water?

Sure, I can get it back for you. It's probably sitting in the same spot.

Skinny and Phin- When you wake up, please answer this question. What is the largest # wise gag, scamp and ARS that each of you have shot or caught on R&R? Thank you in advance.

I've not weighed every fish, but my largest gag that I have weighed was 21#. You rarely see them much larger inside of 120' (at least off of Charleston). I didn't weigh my largest red snapper, but the largest one that I have weighed was 18-8#. I've killed them bigger, but did not weigh them. If I had to guess, I would say my biggest was 22# or so.

The older I get, the better I was.

Must be some kind of world record. I've never seen an internet thread last more than 14 hours before.

It's something that will make your nostrils and lungs get black if you follow too close behind it.

what if you follow it with a submarine assumption

It would seem that a submarine may be useful to capn jason in order to put anybody on good fish according to skin E’s assumptions.

“T-boat to U-boat- come in. Do you see any snapper down there? I can’t make anything out up here on the color scope.”
“No, just porgies down here. Snapper schools spotted 400-500 feet at 15 degrees NNE.”
“Thanks U-boat. T-boat standing by and dropping anchor. All anchor personnel, man your stations!”

Just stay deep and watch out for the hook. And get out from under before the horn blows and the barrier of chicken rigs hit the bottom.

And you spent 10 minutes of your time reading it and replying.:smiley:

Two very different opinions, but good information. Take your side and use the info. Or bits and pieces if you will.

Good constructive debates help others learn…

:stuck_out_tongue:

If skinnee tries to charge you any money, email me the #'s and I will drop a diver out who has a proven track record of finding lost anchors and fishing rods… Just need a day with some pretty good visibility.

And 6ft, you think I would talk on the phone with skinnee late at night after he displayed some interest in my butt cheeks and fish? I know better than that…

I can tell you what that fish is thinking by the color on the scope.

Some old video of the black banks. There weren’t a whole lot of fish on this spot on this day, but you can see a few grouper in the video swimming with other schools of fish and in between rocks. I wonder if PHin’s supersonic sonar would have painted them out…
