beside we all know when a bye week happens st a result of a schedule that is very tough to come up with. And I would bet most coaches do not want a bye early in the season. but it happens

I’m assuming Clemson finally did some planning and placed their’s prior to the 2 Thursday night games and placed an FCS opponent before the Carolina game.

Was not Clemson as the ACC sets the conference schedule.

For the past 4 years UGA, UF, USC have played cupcakes prior to their last week rivalry game against ACC teams. The SEC figured out the benefit of that and purposefully did not give those teams in- conference games the week prior to playing their ACC rivals. Coincidentally USC beat Clemson 4 times in a row for the first time ever…(and no I’m not saying that’s the only reason USC won but that had to have helped)

Glad the ACC finally woke up and stopped placing in-conference games the week before our rivalry games. FSU & GT both have FCS teams the week prior this year as well.

A full extra week to rest & prepare will help tremendously for both FSU & Clemson. GT will get waxed regardless.

Shevlin… come on now. The games haven’t been that close the last four years…well last year was closer, but we were with the backup qb and rb… be realistic.

an extra full week of watching film, rest, practice and game planning is a good advantage. As I said that that’s not the only reason but one of many.

Ps will give you the backup QB but lattimore never did squat against Clemson.

He only played once… As a freshman

www.baturinphotography.com

Yep, just once, still he never did anything against Clemson.

And I think Mike Davis who did play against us last year, for 3yds a carry, is going to put up the same type numbers as lattimore this year and is a home run threat. Real glad I picked him up in my ACC/SEC/Big12 league…he is 3rd right now in points for RB’s behind Gurley & Seastrunk.

Trust me, you want nothing to do with a healthy Lattimore!

He was healthy in 2010 and had 46yds on 23 carries. Just sayin’

Georgia said the same about Herschel Walker.

Sure wish they could have done the same to Gurley but that kid is better than ML and HW any day of the week.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’ll be the first to say that Marcus isn’t Herschel Walker. He isn’t even George Rogers, SC’s only Heisman winner.

But, you really want to say that Gurley is better than Walker? At this point in his young career, I think most Georgia fans would disagree. Perhaps you need to go watch some of Herschel’s highlight reels…

X2. Herschel could be included in a discussion of the greatest college RB’s of all time. Gurley’s a beast, but nowhere near HW territory. At least not yet…

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

Yeah hard to agree with you there Salty. There was hardly any passing back in the 80’s and everybody stacked the box. Not sure Gurley could perform as well if as HW did if he played back then.

Also, Hershel was was one of three all-americans as a freshman along with Adrian Peterson and Sammy Watkins (had to throw that in there )

Herschel’s one of the greatest of all time and its nice to hear him talk with humility and give credit to his teammates. HE has character. HE is what college football players should strive to emulate.

HW is a stand up guy, no arguing that fact. I reckon I’m a bit biased on HW though, I never saw HW bust a 75yd run off on the Tigers or take one 12yds breaking tackles and dragging defenders in Death Valley. He must have done those things at Willy Brice.

Todd Gurley= 42 carries 288 yards 3 tds 6.85 yards per carry. Mike Davis= 28 carries 264 yards 2 tds 9.4 yards per carry. Gurley is good but not superhuman.
