New purchase, extended warranty. Many engine manufacturers will offer special extended warranties on a purchase during boat show season. These extended warranties potentially hold big value, see which manufacturers are offering what and get it in writing. Also consider hull warranties as well, these speak to the manufacturers confidence in their product and add value, while reviewing see if they are transferable as well.

Resale value. Yeah sure it is the boat of your dreams, but things happen and, well, dreams can change. If your dream changes you want to be able to resell at a reasonable price. Resell price also speaks to the quality/value and demand of what you are buying.

Online reviews, read them! Al Gores internet makes research a snap. Check reviews, watch videos, get end users opinions. I would just caution everything you read online is not true!
