Tire Reef 5-3-14 :(

Left dock for Tire Reef at 7:30 am with a crew of of David Wedgeworth, Capt Stevo Page and rookie Chandler. Bait very, very hard to catch along the beach. After at least 1 1/2 hours, made it to reef with some bait… With water temp around 68 degrees, very little bait or other activity. Could not jig up any bait- even at buoy. No spades or cobia caught by us or the 4 to 5 other boats on-site. Several large tiger sharks caught by Capt Rodney on the Miss Carolina ( who also gave us some live bait- THANKS!!)- we did not get a hit all day. Per charter boat radio chatter, 2 cobia caught at Ross by one boat but not much else. Hopefully with next week’s warm weather, fishing will turn on.
Our rookie crew member Chandler was very happy and proud of his colorful mother-in-law fish. Fun was had by all !

Sweet!

Nice toilet toad Russ. What did that cost you per once. Colors right for cobia fishing…
