Man, what a tough situation for DW4 to start his first NFL game on the road, on a short week, with a depleted receiving core, limited work with the #1s, and against a top defense.
The last few haters that don’t see this kid as special has got to believe now. It was nice to see him throwing the same kind of lasers that he threw all through his career against professionals.
Texans will make the playoffs with DW4 under center.
Doubt they make playoffs this year. He did well last night though.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

They need some help on the O-line and at tight end. DW4 was not getting any help and the running backs had nowhere to run.

Was fun to watch and only wish him the best. Clowney congratulating him after the touchdown run good to see also.

It’s cute how all the Clemson fans are nuzzling Houston’s balls now. Houston is the 2 time defending division champion. They have made the playoffs before without DW4. DW4 needs to pay more attention to the coverages and not throw a pick that could cost his team points. He made some great plays last night don’t get me wrong, but he also struggled at times. Was beautiful to see him get absolutely crushed on one play and then get up and 2 plays later scamper for a 50yd TD… Houston has a pretty good defense that keeps them in the games.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
Just another butt hurt Cock fan upset Clemson fans are taking away one more thing they thought they had.

He made that running TD look easy, just like college. It was fun to watch the highlights, but anyone who says that was a fun game to watch is lying. Cincinnati’s dumpster fire offense was enough to make me turn the channel.

Just another delusional tater fan making zero sense with a comment. /what exactly are you taking away from me that I thought I had?

Why do you think it’s cute that Clemson fans follow the greatest QB in the states history to the NFL?

My concern is Watson’s stamina/health. Houston’s O-line is middle of the pack, at best, so Watson’s mobility will come in pretty handy but his build isn’t one that lends itself well to taking repetitive shots and big hits at the NFL level. Ask RG III. In a college game, Watson was one of only a few players on the field that were NFL caliber and it showed but in the NFL every player on the field is NFL caliber.
You could definitely tell it was his first start. He didn’t look very comfortable in the pocket (happy feet) and he was missing a lot of defensive coverage reads. The Bungles went with a “cover-0” several plays in a row but Watson didn’t check out of the run play even though he was looking at 9 men in the box. He has to start seeing that and audible out. A 15-24 125yds (he was also the leading rusher for the game…between both teams) night isn’t normally anything to get you excited about your QB but at least he got the “W”. That “W” will do him more good than a 23-32 300yds night.
Watson has plenty of room for growth but I’d say the young man is well on his way.

I’m just glad somebody gave the little guy a chance. Who knows how long before that knee time bomb goes off.

Admittedly, I don’t have a dog in this USC vs Clemson “rivalry” but I can’t find who was butt hurt or what was taken from anyone by a Clemson fan.

I wouldn’t expect you to know the USC/Houston connection.

I know there are a few former USC players on the team, as there are a few former Clemson players. I’m teachable.

You are not allowed to answer a question with a question. Forum rules, Rickybobby says so.

U = Texan fan
U = upset at all the new Clemson Texan fans
Texans = Clemson players > USuC players
Texans owned by one of the richest USuC alumni, but is obviously All In!
So why is it cute?
And how about I clarify my playoff statement. Texans would not make the playoffs with Savage. Texans will make it to the 2nd round with DW4.

Got ya. Sounds pretty stupid on both side, to be honest.
I doubt a GM or head coach or owner could care less about where their new draftees USED to play in COLLEGE. There are players drafted from “little schools” and “no name schools” every year that go on to be great NFL players.
Sounds like another case of over-exuberant unobjective fans trying to make something out of nothing just for the sake of arguing.

Nice to see him hold his own against Brady and Co. Even with Brady having one of his epic days, Watson still almost pulled out the win.
