This is not the only forum you are advertising this is it Eric? Since you are hosting the tx in Florida, I assume you have responses from other sites & forums?

Who is responsible for mailing out the items for donations? I donated for the black bart wahoo kit. Any idea when those will be mailed.

Are you telling us our donations went for nothing? I have yet to see you post about one of your events. Now your raffles have been shut down. You have deleted your reply to my post concerning your presence on Florida boards/forums. Your Facebook page has only reschedules & apologies.

Something you not telling us? I donated $50…and others did the same or more or less. How about full disclosure about where our dollars went and who benefited. You’ve been hammering our forum with donation requests, and as the executive director of a S.C. registered 501 C3 non-profit myself, I now personally want to see you disclose your financial position and/or direct me to a site that contains full disclosure.

And you are correct…I no longer support you.

Jim, I just sent you an email.

any update on when the lures will be shipped?

501-c-3’s are a dime a dozen and many run administrative cost in excess of 80, 90 even 100 percent, so pennys go to the charity. some pick a worthy-sounding name and rake in donations. Example; you get a call from some guy claiming to be with the local police department raising funds for widows. For a fat donation you get a 50 cent decal for your car. Truth is the salesmen travel the US, pay the police or fire department a token amount to use their name and rake in thousands to cover admin cost(their pockets) before moving to the next town. Favorite scam of the famous SC Gypsies. Most non-profits are legit, but it’s up to you to find out. WWFF will get nothing from me.

So, is there a winner list or how do I get my refund?? E-mail is best for me reelescape1@yahoo.com

I’m just a skeptic.

As a US Marine myself I gave money. Just the chance of a percentage of the money makes it worth it to me. I have chatted with Eric about this a couple times and he is really excited about helping my wounded brothers and sister and I’m glad this group has stepped up and is willing to do it! To be honest, most of those guys that I know would just love to go out fishing.
Thank you again Eric and like I said before, if you ever need anything just let me know and I’m more than willing to help!

“Here’s to swimmin’ with bow-legged women”

I do believe that wounded warrior project has a fishing program already, they are already established and have done some amazing things already.

yo

Thats a swipe at a nationally known program that helps our boys on a huge scale and I’ve had it with you. You may be legit but your group simply doesn’t pass the smell test for a foundation, and I know foundations and fundraising. According to two sites that identify non-profits (IRS and Guidestar) you don’t exist. You have a Facebook page that seems to cancel events, apologize often and promise all the time. No web site. You are soliciting funds in a military town, but I hear you a aren’t posting in your home area. You hold a raffle, don’t announce a winner then give people 5 days to ask for a refund. How much have you raised here? What specifically are you funding for WWs in our area, or anywhere for that matter?
In any case I strongly suggest that anyone wanting to help our wounded warriors, give directly to the wounded warrior project or even better organize another fishing even in our area. Eric, go back to Pensacola.

Pensacola is also an established military town with Eglin AFB, Tyndall AFB near by and the Navy Dive school in Panama City beach where they pump out Navy divers, Navy EOD divers, Marine Corps Combatant divers, Seabee Divers. So why aren’t you soliciting down there? Wounded Warrior Project does have multiple fishing programs and other events that will cater to what the injured vet is interested in doing. Why don’t you guys just request to start a dedicated fishing program and join with them. They already are well known and people know that they WILL help the injured warriors. I’m active duty and I give 5% of my pay to them because I support their worthy cause because I know alot of my fellow brothers and sisters that have been severly wounded and injured and i’ll support them. There is FAR TOO MANY scams out there asking for donations in the name of actual military HERO’s that have lost multiple limps, eyesight, third degree burns and deep emotional scars. It’s just gonna hard for people to take you seriouly until you get some credentials.

Will I hope to one day see your organization do great things! I have lost some good friends and would support this once you guys get fully set up.
