If you haven’t been lost or at least disoriented at night while on the water… Well you most likely haven’t been on the water at night very much.
If you haven’t run aground or at least knocked bottom… Well you haven’t spent a lot of time on the water.
And if you haven’t slammed into a dock or at least bumped hard enough to scratch gelcoat…Well you haven’t spent a lot of time docking a boat.
The last of these occurs fairly regularly (especially since some fellow boaters don’t seem to understand the importance of slowing down and no wake zones around boat ramps these days) and I see quite a few posts on our Boats and Motors Page with folks looking for advice on gelcoat repair. This weeks article comes to us courtesy of Boat US Magazine and has some great tips for repairs. I though this may help all of us handle those minor cosmetic repairs at least.
