Tree limbs falling

There are limbs falling all over my neighborhood. This is getting pretty ugly up here in the land of pines.

It appears from the news that you guys are getting all the freezing rain down there. We got snow early this morning and now it has turned to sleet. Hop it doesn’t get too bad for you guys…or us.

We got about 4 inches of snow up here yesterday and it started up again hard this morning and now has some sleet mixed in. Hope the ice build up doesn’t get really bad for anybody

Temp is hovering at 31.8 and the rain is not stopping. I walk out on the front porch and just hear them breaking and falling everywhere. If this wind picks up we are going to have a mess. No power to boot.

We have lots of ice one the trees off of Otranto Rd in North Charleston, but no crashing limbs yet.

I talked to my dad up in Moncks Corner, and he said its bad. Whole pine tree tops are breaking and crashing down. He still has power, but probably not for long if it doesn’t warm up and melt this stuff.

Falling everywhere in Wescott too. We still have power but our neighbors do not

Up here in Orangeburg, we had about a 1/4" of ice then it turned to sleet all morning until noon. Now its raining again and temp is steady at 32. Some ice is melting, but some is still freezing. Trees looking real bad and can hear limbs breaking around us. This is only going to get worse.Powered still on for now though.

The air has warmed a bit and the ice is melting. We were at a turning point this morning when it was about to get real. Then it started to reverse itself thankfully!
Will be interesting to see what happens when the air cools down again.

I am thankful that global warming will save us*. We are having it a little difficult here on our side of the tracks. 1" of ice and a lot of wind. Pines are snapping like green beans and the transformers blowing sound like a 4th of July fireworks bonanza.

Have trees down everywhere up here right out of St. George. I have pine, oak and river berch in my yard. Power has been out since 10:30am.

My river birch split up rhe middle here in Reevesville. Co- op got the power back on for 30the minutes and back off now.

fish today work tomorrow

My prayers go out to the crews… Nothing scares me much more than standing under the threat of a falling limb while using a saw.
