Is there Anyone in beaufort that repairs trolling motors? I have a minnkota riptide that has an intermittent issue. Sometimes i have to tap on the motor housing to make it turn on. Worn brushes???

I’ve completely rebuilt a 101 lb riptide and was surprised at how simple they really are. Got all my parts for northlandmarine.com. The guys there will help you out over the phone with anything you need. Might not be what you want to do, just wanted to give you some options as I don’t know of anyone in Beaufort that works on trolling motors.
Barrier Island Marine is an authorized Motorguide repair center (they take to their Charleston location I think). They might do MK also…just not sure.

Big tuna… Mine is a 101 also. I may take a look at it myself and see what i can find out. I believe some water got it the at some point .
same thing happened with mine. I replaced control board, cleaned up armature, and installed rebuild kit on motor housing for only a couple hundred in parts.
