saw the water boiling right off the beach, cast a shrimp on a float into the middle of it and immediatley hooked up with a 20" trout. biggest one i’ve ever caught. got one more nice trout and missed two more. never seen anything like it off the beach. i was at jeremy inlet; dead low tide.
is anybody else catching anything down here? how’s the shrimpin?

i might give that a shot. i have a couple mirrolures; a tt something and a 52m something. what size hook should i replace the treble hooks with?
i forgot to mention, there were also enormous fish, i’m assuming kings, jumping straight in the air through the menhaden. this was a about 50 yards off the beach.
In a situation like the above I take off both trebles, then but a quality treble on the back with a split ring. Bob Sanders
so you fish it with just one treble hook on the back? do you miss many fish?
Edisto, what type of mirrorlures seem to be producing the best for you at the inlet?
