Trout trick results?

Has anybody purchased the trout tricks from HPT or fishinwithbob and used them? Did you just follow the directions on the pack? How did you fish yours and what did you catch? Quality or quanity trout? I wanna get some tit my trip to Florida and to use here but I can get a good yopwater plug for the same price. So how did they work out for you? Pics welcomed!

15 trout on them today

None on them yesterday. Was fishing with a flutter hook though.

Rigging on 1/8th ounce ball type jighead (Owner or Gamakatzu)is imperative. From my website:

The TroutTrick must be allowed to fall STRAIGHT down to create the reaction bite. With your rod pointed at the lure, reel in the slack and give a couple of jerks, then drop the rod tip to allow bait to fall STRAIGHT down again. In shallow water jerk sideways. The trout will hit it on the fall or pick it up off the bottom, hence your jerk becomes a hookset. We think the ribs create a vibration saltwater trout home in on. It is so strong that when you fish through a school of totally negative fish, they will strike with their mouths closed. Eventually you will foul hook one and realize what is going on.

Pay close attention to the setup and technique Bob describes above. It makes a big difference…

got my low country slam on them

good bit of trout and almost as many flounder

caught a few redfish but the trout and flounder were keyed in on it.

Gonna try them again but didn’t catch any trout on them yesterday, it was really hot and live bait was everywhere also. I bet they will be deadly later on in the year but I don’t know I guess.

Did you guys fish them along rocks or docks or dock pilings or what general areas have you been targeting. Most of the Times I catch trout its floating my popping cork down the grassline until they hit. It doesn’t sound as if this is good for this?

If you have any questions about the Trout Trick, come on out to our SSWA membership meeting on Wednesday. Capt Bob Sanders will be our featured speaker, and trust me, you will really enjoy Bob and learning from his wisdom. We are very honored to have Bob come speak to our club.

Sometimes fish will whack plastics but not hold them long enough to get hooked. Don’t assume it’s just pinfish teasing you. Soak a real bait in the exact spot where you got whacked before moving on. You might be surprised! Even when you can’t catch fish on plastics, you can often find them with the plastics.

The big guy

Did he really say the strike with their mouth closed??? Thats Funny!

Beat me to it Vinman. I have fished with them and they do work well. Looking forward to hearing you on Wednesday Bob.

Does Haddrells sell them online? I would love to have some shipped up to Myrtle Beach.
