Capt Bob Sanders came to talk to us at our Summerville Saltwater Fishing Club this past Wed night. I picked up a few bags of his Trout Trick lures and hit the water on Friday evening and tied one on the stick…Not being much of an aritficial bait user, I was a little sceptical…within about 3 or 4 cast I found the trout and BOY were they ON!!..caught over 25 trout on the trout trick lure…I’M DEFFINATELY SOLD on the trout trick lure…If you haven’t gotten any…go get some!!!..THEY WORK!!..All fish caught in the cooper river on incoming tide and all fish were released to fight another day!!
Dang we tried them in the stono, but the water was very stained and I think Capt. Bob said you needed a bit of clarity, which we lacked…very eager to try them, shoot I might try them on the beach when the water is slack!

I could be wrong but it looks like one of the custom rods we built called the Ralph Phillips Special. It was a line of rods that we built specific to his likings and they are a great trout rod. The reel is taped on the rod to get attain better sensitivity while fishing! I could be wrong so Bugs please don’t hesitate to say so… Glad the trout tricks worked for ya! Great report.

Nice fish!..went to he Bulls Bay area this past Sunday and Monday and got lucky w/the trout there too! Caught over 50 in two days but kept only four for supper. Popping Corks with watermelon shrimp and paddle tails. Also got one very nice flounder and a 4 foot Bonnet shark and smaller sharp nose…GREAT WEEKEND…WILL BE LOOKING FOR SOME OF THOSE TROUT TRICKS…DO ANY STORE CARRY THEM?
If you can find the fish…they will eat about anything reasonable!

That would be correct…It is a Ralph Phillips special…Ralph had that rod made for me personally and I do have it paired with a stradic ci4 1000 with 10lb PowerPro…I LOVE that rod …Very very sensitive!!
