A good friend of mine told me a long time ago if you want to see if your girlfriend is marriage material get her to give you directions while you back your truck up to the boat trailer, if you can get through that task without an argument ensuring then it is time to take your relationship to the next level. Level two is take your girlfriend shrimping, if she can run the poles all night in a 20 knot northeast wind with the tide running while you throw the net and an argument not start over boat placement; well then take the relationship to the next level. Step three is to wall paper a tiny bathroom with your girlfriend. If you two can get the entire room wallpapered without arguing, well then you got yourself an awesome spouse. I love my wife and she is downright awesome. We have been together for over ten years now and married over five. During these last ten years I have learned that there are many unpredictable circumstances that will test a relationship, since these tests may come at most any time, and at times can be downright tough, I have decided to simply stop testing my wife with test number one. We both fail every time anyway; therefore, it is easier for me to just hook the boat up by myself!
