Not fishing related but need a reference for a place that can diagnose my truck. I have a 2004 2500 and it started slipping gears and the “gear shift prohibited” warning comes on. I really don’t think it’s mechanically, I can turn the truck off, remove the key and restart and it runs perfect. So, it’s either, according to Internet research, the barrel switch in the ignition or the NTSU on the transmission, I believe. Everyone I have taken it to wants to start with replacing the computer, which I think is not the problem. Thanks in advance, and I have taken it to the likely places in Beaufort already and one in Bluffton.
