Ocean was beautiful on Tuesday. Went out to Cha. 60 and shot a couple of really big spadefish. Another group of divers saw a 10 ft. hammerhead cruising the surface near the buoy about 100 yards away from us. Went today to Cha. nearshore since the ocean was a little choppy. That reef is polluted with sheephead. Friend shot a 20 incher and I shot a 28 in. flounder. Nice week of weather. ■■■■ its great to be back in the lowcountry.
Rebelyel-
Good Report.
A good friend of mine saw what could have been that same shark while fishing the 60 on Thursday.
I’ve got to get to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to see what I can have done about my barotrauma…It’s keeping me from blowing bubbles. Can’t wait to get wet again.
hey reb,
whats the vis. at the Chs. nearshore. I didn’t think it would be very good to dive. Vis. looked like crap the last couple times I’ve seen it out there.
just curious
JI,
Not good. Really murky, maybe 5 ft. Not used to the flounder underwater, we must have spooked 40 of them while we were down there, at 35 ft. you have basically unlimited bottom time. Luckily I saw the big bulging eyes of the flounder I shot before we spooked him too. Not great vis. but the reef holds a lot of fish.
