The two things I love the most about November are Thanksgiving and trout fishing. There’s just something about taking some leftover turkey, throwing it on a sandwich and hitting the water to find some hungry trout. November is the month where the trout are really stuffing in as much food as they can, pretty much like we did the day before with turkey, stuffing and ALL of the sides. This is also a month where the trout are beginning to school up and days of 20-30+ fish can be a regular occurrence. Once you are able to get these schooled up trout feeding they are like a group of crazy shoppers fighting over a black Friday special and it is not uncommon to lose a fish on the way to the boat only to have another one pick it up. This year instead of getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping take some time to get out on the water and enjoy some of the best inshore fishing the Lowcountry has to offer. Here is a pro tip for you as well. The stores where you buy all of those Christmas gifts are open during the week as well with no waiting in line.
