Me and the family will be there sun to tear the fish up. Gonna surf fish and bring the boat also. Hows the surf fishing been? I hope the whiting bite is good. What time of year do the whiting cone into the creeks? We caught a cooler full of huge whitng at the oxbow several years ago but I think it was in august. I would also like to try for some sheeps head. Its hard to learn the fish one week a year when you try for so many species. Any help or tips would be appreciated and Ill keep yall posted as to whats going on throughout the week. Good luck.
I’ll be there Sun thru Sun. Planning on staying in the boat all week fishing. Every year we stay at Edisto and catch a few whiting on the beach, but not a bunch. Going to hit the near-shore reefs and troll off the beach. Might go hunting trout and reds in the creeks also.
Last year about this time I put in at steamboat landing and went left, just before the steel wall I tore up the whiting, they hit whatever real bait I put in the water, shrimp, cut mullet, etc. Most were nice size too, The first creek to the left, right near the landing was good for bait. GL
Leave something for us!!! We head down on the 29th and have a house on Fishing Creek. Last year, the boat went on the fritz the first day in the water. Quite dissappointed; couldnt go over 10 mph and had to stay close to the house. Got everything in top shape for this trip. Get what you can while you can!! Won’t be anything left after I get there!!! Might even go get that bull shark in Cherry Grove. All fishes are are in trouble!
no idea about teh steel wall, I was fishing just off the wall towards the boatramp off the grass. Caught alot of whiting and some rays. Pluff, Im going to be down in sept in a house near fishing creek. hoping to catch some shrimp and fish platters so please leave a few for me
