Log in to www.pierandsurf.com and check the regional South Carolina/ Georgia section for reports. Not much going on at the moment, but if you scan through the historical (or hysterical) reports you will get some good info about Tybee.
I lived there for about two months and fished the pier while the boat was ooc. Anyway the fish I caught were sharks, rays and whiting and some blues…Just about the same as the pier here…Good luck on the deploy

My best fishin buddy Randy “the Rude Dude” Robbins, moved down there last fall. He caught 8 kings in 4 days fishing a trolly rig setup. He also stocked an entire sea food store in the fall fishing hook and line. With whiting, spots, flounder, croakers, the list goes on. He told me the water is clearer and cleaner there. Also not alot of pressure do to the fact the fisherpeople are not that skilled. They (the locale news paper) Did a few news paper aticles on him in the fall of 2006. I think they put him on the front page.
I have had a lot of luck there too and foe some reason I have caught a lot more Spanish there then any other pier. if you go and see a big dude that everyone calls Raven (the big raven tattoo on his back gives it away) tell him Klint says hi! he is the only one there that is using 20-30 pound stingrays for bait!! and ask to see the photo book he always has it with him. nothing but huge sharks he caught in the pier.
P.S. Good luck in Cali !
I fish therefor I am ><((((º> J
