What happens when you go Whiting fishing? Jason and wife, Kristy, along with their 2 boys went for Whiting and Sharks. Kristy wound up hooking into a 39" Cobia. Ugly Stick rod, Shimano reel, 20" Berkley line, and #1 Eagle Claw hook. No gaff or billy club on the boat. But a dip net and an anchor did the trick.
Never saw Cobia at this spot before. We were fishing in 5’ of water. And we were looking at the Edisto Marina.
Neeless to say everyone had a good time.
