Took out one of my regulars, Jerry and his son Dave. They caught lots of small Spottails, but the 31 inch, 11 pounder made the day a good one. We tagged and released it. We used live mullet, menhaden and shrimp for bait. The tides were running high and fast. It was also very muddy, which comes with the tides running extrmemly high.

The big Spottails, running 30 pounds plus, should start about the middle of October. If you are interested in a trip, give me a call.

Still menhaden around?

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

Posting on a message board all the time doesn’t make you smart. Frankly, it just means you probably need to get a life.

The Menhaden are hard to find, but they are still here. We found some today. Will post today’s fishing tomorrow. We caught some hogs. Too tired tonight. :slight_smile:
