That would be a running play, aka QB keeper. Not V formation.
I wonder if you know anything about CFB or just like to argue. Or you are simple not bright
Technically speaking, both are running a play as they both result in a down lost. The difference is intent. With a V-formation/QB kneel the primary intent is to run time off the clock, and not to gain yardage. A “QB keeper” is with the intent to gain yardage, and has nothing to do with running out the clock. Pretty simple concepts to understand.
Everyone else here understood my point with the 1 yard line, and you decide to argue “semantics” as usual. However, since you brought it up. The answer is that “technically” you can run a v-formation/qb kneel and lose less than 1 yard and it still be considered a v-formation/qb kneel.
Here, I’ll make it easy for you to understand my point. I’ll change the scenario to the Clem’s 10 yard line instead of their 1 since where the ball would have been deep in Clemson territory is irrelevant to the point being made. My point is still the same, and now you should be able to understand it. Problem solved…

How much time on the game clock, and what down is it?

Do not use me to support or justify your stupidity.
From 2013-2017, Clemson is ranked 15th (81916.20) in the nation in average attendance at football games. Over that same time span, USC is ranked 16th (79622.00) in the nation. Official capacity of DV is 81500 and for WB it is 80250 (each team has seated higher but that is the official posted capacity of each stadium). DV officially holds 1250 more people than WB and over the time span mentioned, Clemson has averaged 2294.2 more fans per game. I don’t believe either team has issues with putting butts in the stands but let’s try to be honest here. On a weekend where pretty much every major conference is televising their conference championship games, who’s going to want to go watch USC play the Akron Zips? If the shoe was on the other foot, the PR/Marketing Department at Clemson would be smart enough to do the exact same thing. I know it was meant as a dig at USC but come one. It was a weak one at best. Surely, given the history, there had to be something better than that out there.

I think it may have been a poke back at some of the jokes about ACC championship ticket prices in the past. This forum has seem more activity this week that all year. I assure you, from 2009 to 2013, cock fans didn’t take a day off. That was the longest twenty years of my life.
SCar better be on their toes. Team Zippy beat Northwestern (Big 10 west division champs) earlier in the year…

For the record, Duke also beat NW and nobody is sweating Duke.
That said, I don’t believe any opponent should be taken lightly but if USC doesn’t beat Akron by at least 3 TD’s or more, they should be as proud of their performance as Dabo and Venables were of Clemson’s Defensive performance against USC. Granted, with the way USC’s Defense is playing, anything could happen. USC’s Defense might make the Zips’ Offense look like world beaters. Their stats suggest they don’t have a very potent Offense. They’re averaging just over 20 points per game and only 297 yard of total Offense (201 passing and 96 rushing) but USC’s Defense is allowing just over 440 yards of total Offense (235.5 passing and 204.7 rushing) per game and they’re allowing just over 29 points per game. I guess we’ll see on Saturday. Well, someone will see it. Just not me.

Hey Gamecock fans- free tickets to Akron game on StubHub! But hurry, only 60,000 left:smiley:
A nice gesture from the university that will allow families to attend a game that they may not be able to attend at regular prices. We took the weekend off during a hurricane and Clemson fans want to make fun of it. Clemson put their football program in front of the safety of their fanbase.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

HaHaHa!!! There’s a new hat for you. Never figured you as the Internet tough guy type. Not very fitting or impressive, if I may say so myself. Can’t stand it when facts get in
