Nah, it was a “moral loss” for Clem fans:

https://www.thestate.com/latest-news/article222170225.html

The best parts were:

*Bentley hanging 510 yards (2nd most @ Dabo valley) on the 2nd ranked defense in the country at home…

*Rick Sandidge outmanned wilkins on the Oklahoma drill at the goal line on CW’s first attempt to score. Sandidge dominated Wilkins, and CW had that Taj Boyd look knowing he just got man-on-man beotched slapped by a true freshman…

*And, finally, Muschamp and co. out coaching Dabo and co. with a nothing roster due to injuries…

In the end, SCar and Clem are tied over the last 10 years. Nothing more, nothing less. They are equals…

RBF

Best part was 56-35

If the chickens are so good, why aren’t they undefeated?

I don’t know about the “equal” part but on the other hand, numbers don’t lie.

I expected to see what we saw from USC’s defense but I did not expect to see what we saw from Clemson’s defense.

Yes, USC’s secondary is very depleted with injuries and those spots are having to be filled with a bunch of inexperienced players and the fact the front 7 for USC can’t stop anything and can’t put pressure on the opposing QB only puts that much more pressure on those inexperienced players. But again, I believe anyone that wasn’t expecting to see that out of USC was lying to themselves.

What’s more suprising is the 600 yards of offense Clemson’s defense gave up AND the best (arguably) defensive line in the nation only had 3 sacks. I’m not spurprised Clemson didn’t cover the spread. They’re only

Clemson had one job Saturday night and that was to stop Jake Bentley, he torched them.

After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

My favorite was when the SEC Official called “delay of game” on Clemson’s defense.?! Desperation at it’s finest…

Yeah, because that really had an impact on the outcome…talk about desperation. :face_with_head_bandage:

Both teams set in formation, Bentley audibling, 9 seconds on game clock, and Clemson gets a DOG penalty? Not sure if you’ve played the game, or understand it? But a DOG is impossible for the defense in that situation.

Rent’s due!

WRONG

Ok, explain it to me?

Pretty funny, the Taters finish 12-0 and get their 5th against Carolina and all that matters is a ticky tacky call. I’d be more concerned about that pass defense.

If it makes you feel any better, the same refs missed a defensive pass interference (by Clemson) in the end zone. The DOG call had no impact on the game.

Other than hoping Clemson had scored a few more TD’s, I’m tickled to death with the outcome! Seems you Coot fans are the one’s with their panties all disheveled? A missed call is a bit different than a, blatant, illegal call, impact or not.

Ok, I looked up your 9-5-1d, and all I could find was about personal fouls, and ejection. Here’s what I found:

In American football, an offensive team is penalized five yards for delay of game if it fails to put the ball in play by either snap or free kick before the play clock expires. This time limit varies by league, and is often 25 seconds from the time the referee signals the ball ready for play. In the National Football League, it can also be 40 seconds from the end of the previous down, depending on the circumstances at the time. Also, the defensive team can be given the same penalty if, after a play has ended, they fail to quickly yield the ball to officials, prevent a player on the offense from getting up, or kick the ball.</font id=“red”>

“After a play has ended”!

LMMFAO!!!</font id=“red”> “Blatant illegal call”…I have to admit, that’s a first for me. Maybe a different ref should’ve thrown a flag on the ref that made the “illegal call.” LOL!!! Case and point to support what I said earlier about it being a good thing the coaches and players of Clemson achieved greater heights than the quality of the fanbase.

Quit falling back on the same old comebacks, MN. I’m not a USC fan OR a Clemson fan. I just like talking football. Plus, I find it fascinating that fans of the #2 team in the country, that have 2 NT’s, that have dominated the “rivalry” between them and USC, that just beat USC for the fifth time in a row…spend more time worrying about the lesser program that is USC and their fanbase than they do in larger/higher aspirations of, oh I don’t know, winning another NT. I think some of you mouthbreathers would rather beat USC than win another NT.

If you want to complain about anything, complain about Clemson’s defense allowing Bentley to have a career day. He’ll always be able to say he put up his best numbers against the #2 team in the country in their house. Clemson will never be able to take that away from him. They let a lesser opponent come into their house and hang up numbers that haven’t been seen under the current coach’s tenure. Then again, that would imply you’re an objective fan and not just a homer.

“Illegal call”…That’s a priceless little nugget, right there. LOL!!!
