Waiting.......

A Gamecock didn’t start this thread AND, a Gamecock ain’t whining about the game. You figure it out as far as whose panties are twisted. I’m sure you are “tickled” with that sterling defensive play.

LMMFAO!!!</font id=“red”> “Blatant illegal call”…I have to admit, that’s a first for me. Maybe a different ref should’ve thrown a flag on the ref that made the “illegal call.” LOL!!! Case and point to support what I said earlier about it being a good thing the coaches and players of Clemson achieved greater heights than the quality of the fanbase.

Quit falling back on the same old comebacks, MN. I’m not a USC fan OR a Clemson fan. I just like talking football. Plus, I find it fascinating that fans of the #2 team in the country, that have 2 NT’s, that have dominated the “rivalry” between them and USC, that just beat USC for the fifth time in a row…spend more time worrying about the lesser program that is USC and their fanbase than they do in larger/higher aspirations of, oh I don’t know, winning another NT. I think some of you mouthbreathers would rather beat USC than win another NT.

If you want to complain about anything, complain about Clemson’s defense allowing Bentley to have a career day. He’ll always be able to say he put up his best numbers against the #2 team in the country in their house. Clemson will never be able to take that away from him. They let a lesser opponent come into their house and hang up numbers that haven’t been seen under the current coach’s tenure. Then again, that

Nope, tickled with the score though!!

Pretty funny, the Taters finish 12-0 and get their 5th against Carolina and all that matters is a ticky tacky call. I’d be more concerned about that pass defense.

Its been on the radar for some time, deputy dog.

“While most of Clemson’s top-five ranked defense from 2017 will remain intact next season, the Tigers’ secondary was one of the hardest positions hit by departures this offseason.”

Everyone is squawking about a thin defense for the chickens, what the hell happened to the gamecocks run game?

Perhaps one may look at strength and conditioning for the chickens football team, get a coach that actually studies that kind of stuff? Maybe the cocks need to spend more time in the weight room?

Wait till next year?

Nice try. You’re getting as desperate as the SEC officials.

Rent’s still due!

From the rule book

"Defensive Team Requirements
ARTICLE 5. The defensive team requirements are as follows:
a. Each of the following (1-5) is a dead ball foul. Officials should blow the
whistle and not allow the play to continue. After the ball is ready for play
and before the ball is snapped:

  1. No player may touch the ball except when moved illegally as in Rule
7-1-3-a-1, nor may any player contact an opponent or in any other
    way interfere with him.(A.R. 7-1-5-I-II).
  2. No player may enter the neutral zone causing an offensive lineman to
react immediately or commit any other dead-ball offside foul (Rules
    2-18-2 and 7-1-2-b-3-Exception) (A.R. 7-1-3-V and A.R. 7-1-5-III).
  3. No player may cross the neutral zone and without making contact
continue his charge toward any back.
PENALTY [1-3]—Dead-ball foul, offside. Five yards from the succeeding
    spot [S18].
  4. Player(s) aligned in a stationary position within one yard of the line
of scrimmage may not make quick, abrupt or exaggerated actions that
are not part of normal defensive player movement (A.R. 7-1-5-IV).
FR-74 RULE 7 / SNAPPING AND PASSING THE BALL
  5. No player shall use words or signals that disconcert opponents when
they are preparing to put the ball in play. No player may call defensive
signals that simulate the sound or cadence of, or otherwise interfere
    with, offensive starting signals.
PENALTY [4-5]—Dead-ball foul, delay of game. Five yards from the
    succeeding spot [S21].
    b. When the snap starts:
  6. No player may be in or beyond the neutral zone at the snap.
  7. All players must be inbounds.
PENALTY—Live-ball foul. Five yards from the previous spot [S18]."

Move along now, the big boys are talking

I’m betting it was #4.

In all my years playing/watching football, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a DOG penalty on a defense while lined up in formation.

All I can say is its good to be 12-0. And thanks to Jake Bentley for playing the game of his life so our very young secondary can get some good hard coaching for the upcoming playoffs. My favorite coot QB has done his arch rival a great service!

Saw the same call in a high school game just this year.

Clemson won, the only thing they didn’t do was cover the spread. Sakkerliner had a (**() good game-plan with Bentley having the game of his life. There were missed calls on both sides along with some terrible calls, like the push off by Rogers that negated the TD at the end of the first half. As for sacks, hard to get too many when the QB is getting the ball out quickly like they had Bentley doing most of the night as well as being held. Bentley torched the Clemson secondary due to confusion and players being out of position, plus the secondary isn’t very good to begin with. The one thing I can say that impressed me this year about the chickens is they didn’t quit, that’s a vast improvement over the previous four years.

Time for Clemson to worry about Pitt and some retribution. Sakkerliner needs to focus on Akron and not let one loss become two, Akron’s played and beaten some good teams this year.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

“Life’s tough…It’s even tougher if you’re stupid” John Wayne

How about TLaw16 steadily breaking and accumulating all sorts of records against USCjr, you know, the freshman rookie guy that led his team to over 700 yards of offense, yea that’s him! Talk about a well balanced performance…well done Tigers!

Not to take away from Bentley having a career night, that was well done also! When your back is against the wall and you have nothing to lose, you can play like that! Even with that, it just wasn’t near enough this time! Enjoy the 3rd thumb of the season Gamecocks, there’s likely more to come!

Ok, I’m done, y’all can resume with the nonsense.

Actually, they had one job to do Saturday night and that was to win, which they did, so success!!
