Is it too cold to fish the beach for sharks? I want to go tomorow at folly and catch some sharks
not hard and heavy yet but nope theres a few of em around. ive had a couple takes so far this year from big ones (various spots) and landed a couple sharpnose. good luck!
What type of baits are the sharks hitting? And is there a specific tide that they like?
you may do good with blue fish on a trolley rig to keep it off the bottom away from rays. FYI, Folly Pier will not let you keep any sharks. I don’t think you can even bring them to the deck.
ive had 2 takes on live big mullet but have caught them on ray wings and cut bait many times before too. i usually have my best luck right as low tide starts coming back in but dont shy away from other times either thats just me. as for the pier you arent allowed to keep sharks but i havent been kicked out/yelled at for slinging over a sharpnose as they are impossible not to catch once they show up, not that big, and not gonna rip your limbs off if you get bitten…however you cant beach say a blacktip or a lemon.
Went out yesterday before high tide. Have a few bites on cut mullet and some squid. No takers though.
