Fall for reds.
Water temp edging to 69-70 currently. Gonna head out tomorrow and see how it goes.

The reds have moved inshore, be wasting your time from the pier. Currently blues, whiting, black drum, spanish mackerel, and trout being caught at pier.
where would be good places to catch them
I am not the best red fisherman, but generally creek mouth where bait funnels is where I have had luck past few weeks. Also for those wondering, folly hit the desired 68-69 Murica units today.

Lower 70’s (in the rivers) should mean the beginning of the peak spring trout fishing! When it gets to 80 the little sharks will be everywhere and the trout will go nocturnal.

if i’m fishing for spanish mackerel from the folly pier, what are the best times, what should i throw?
Anything shiny and fast moving. The gotcha is pretty standard and cheap. You can run a fluoro leader to generate more bites but take chance of bite offs. Aim for anytime water is decent clarity and moving tide. Bait is a bonus as a good indicator spanish will be in there area.

Water temp is already over 72, no concerns anymore with that
