I’d like to but I’m boatless currently

We plan on fishing fri and Saturday. fri looking bumpy sat is a toss up but who knows crap can change over night if it stays at 3-4ft with decent intervals we will most likely be fishing. At the rate the weather is not gonna get a beautiful 1-2 day anytime soon but I wish it would come sooner then later but can’t catch um at the dock or being scared on the couch

Just reel or get broke

Thinking about going Saturday, hoping the forecast gets better.

You either fish a really big boat,

or, you never been in rough seas.

Have fun…and catch um up.

Mdaddy been in rough seas plenty of times and never a fun time I will say that. ive seen a lot of guys set at the house and the weather change to turn out for a beautiful day but doesn’t always happen unfortunately for us living over 2 hours away from the coast we have to take every chance we can to get offshore and sometimes that means turning around and chalking the day up for a loss because of the weather. We run 306 Bimini and even though it’s a bigger boat there is still days I wouldn’t want to be out in a 55ft sport fisher I will go along with that. I do believe there is a line between insane and practical and most of the time guys with big balls and little experience lean towards the insane side and end up getting in a situation they can’t handle when it comes to weather. But if the seas will be at 3-4 with a south wind and the intervals are not to bad team reel escape will be out Friday and sat if anybody else is going out for the tourney I wish everybody safe travels and good luck and lets all send up a prayer that we can get a good weather break. I also apologize if my statement above about being scared on the couch offended anyone I maybe should have worded it different. Main thing is is don’t do anything that you don’t feel comfortable with. Good luck fellas

Starting at south 15-25 with four footers (some waves will likely be 6’or more) at 5 seconds, Saturday does not sound like the kind of day I want to run 50 miles out. I was looking forward to the tournament but don’t think I will make it.

Sulcataman the forecast just keeps getting crappier by the hours we was looking forward to fishing the tourney ourselves we are gonna be down anyway so if there is a chance for us to get out we are going if not just drink beer at the house I guess lol

Where are you guys getting your weather reports at? The NOAA reports are improving and Buoy weather is ehhhh so so.

Chad I’m with you I’ve looked at the Bouy all day and can’t decide whether good or bad all I can say is we will give it a whirl. By the looks of it you have a big boat to worse case scenerio turn around and come back or we will stay at the dock of it gets to bad. Buddies of mine have been killing the dolphin in Florida for 3 weeks and almost hopped on a plane to go down and stay a week or two at the house in Stuart but got another report that things are pretty good around here so we will see if Mother Nature has mercy on us. If anybody gets out please be careful and best of luck to everyone

I’m with you Bill. Sailflow looks horrendous

For what it’s worth I saw some awesome reports from today

Noslack, I’m seeing pics from people that were out today and the seas were nice looking. The reports are saying around 4 or so. But the pics and eyes on reports are completely different. Guess only time will tell.

Today 4x9 or so I think

Saturday 4x5 or more likely 4x4 (not that it matters )

That’s sporty weather at best and a big one at that lol

Sail flow has let me down a couple of times hence why I check 3 different sights and keep a check on the 41004 Bouy as well before I make a decision I like noaa but sometimes you just never know. Chad I had buddies out today as well and they said it wasent as bad as everyone predicted hence why they took the chance and seen for their selves that’s all we can do fellas

Sailflow was dead on for today

And I agree. There are many resources and there are many posts on this to be honest. Having said that, Saturday is not a day I would go. Stay safe if y’all go

We are fishing Saturday at Edisto tournament. Bumpy yes, but also fishsable. Personally I think fish bite better when it’s not dead calm.

Hoping to fish the tournament out of Edisto on Saturday but still on the fence about the weather.
